Bliss Ultra Lounge (CLUB OF THE MONTH)
(Clifton, NJ)

Bliss – Expect a circus of spontaneous performers from hula-hoopers to men on stilts and those lying on beds of nails. The over-the-top theme parties Tommy D throws at his Jersey club are intended to make clubbers feel like they are anywhere but Jersey. The incidence of the spectacle was inspired by Sound Factory honcho Richard Grant, and the big-name DJ draw is due to the indomitable Turbosound system. Bright club lights fill the space and a video water wall adds more stimulation off the dance floor in the club’s loungier front section by the main bar. Michael Anthony’s Restaurant & Lounge

Michael Anthony’s takes ambiance to a new level. Located on the Newport Pier in Jersey City with marina and Manhattan views this brand new fine restaurant transforms at night to make one of the hottest club scenes in all of North Jersey. This lounge is a blend of classical steakhouse with a modern NYC feel lounge with an added twist…Sushi. An American steakhouse using wet aged corn-fed USDA prime beef served on a 450 degree plate.  Their wine list has a portfolio between old world meets new world.  Located in Woodbridge, Lounge @ Chris Michaels is New Jerseys premire hotspot.  After dinner, enjoy cocktails in their lounge which is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights.  VIP tables are available upon request.  Toma Thusdays is a latin house music with top 40’s event.  Main DJ on Thursday is DJ Reymo from LA Kalle.  Fridays at CM Lounge are amazing they are better known as Chill House Fridays and is one of the few lounges that still plays majority of house music.  Resident DJ is Manny the Greek.  Saturdays are Mash Seduction Saturdays. Come feel and be sexy and dance your night away with music from NYC’s DJ Ted The Dillinger while he spins the craziest tracks from old school and new school.  

 

Colorado Cafe

NJ’s only country western club featuring a mechanical bull, line dancing, and much more to please your country side.  Located in Watchung NJ Colorado Cafe attracts crowds by the hundreds, from not only NJ but also NY.  Colorado Cafe has top cover and original bands play weekly.  If you are truly looking for a unique experience, please visit.  We didnt know what to expect before we went there but once we saw how welcoming the staff was and how much fun it was to learn country dancing we changed our mind.  Even the crowd was awesome and ready to party.  We simply loved it.

 

Sandbar
(Jersey City, NJ)

Sandbar is a two acre entertainment complex on the water overlooking Manhattan, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. There are both indoor and outdoor areas at Sandbar. The inside consists of two separate dance floors, four lounges, and a dining area. Outside you’ll find a sand beach, four bar pavilions and an extensive dining area. You must be 21 or older to get into Sandbar. People under 21 are admitted with parent or guardian for lunch or dinner. No one under 21 will be admitted after 9PM .You can tie up right at the Sandbar dock. You must lower your fenders to allow other boats to raft up to you.

 

Surf Club
(Ortley Beach, NJ)

njrockstar.com suggests checking out the landmark Joey Harrison’s Surf Club. Located right on the sand in Ortley Beach NJ, Surf Club has been around as long as we can remember. If you are 21 or older, we strongly suggest stopping by there on a Sunday around 5 pm or so. Of course, plan to wait in a line, because their Sunday party has become the “sure thing” if you want to listen to live music from the hottest DJ’s around (both local and international).  It is a very trendy scene on Sundays where you will find the hottest crowds who flock from as far as 50 miles or more from all directions just to be at this party. Be prepared, it can get very crowded in there but, it is certainly worth a trip. Surf Club Sundays is a NJROCKSTAR.COM favorite.
