The problem with designating a driver is that no one wants the job!

The idea behind designating a driver when friends go out on the town is a solid one. However, reality has a habit of intruding. The friend given the driving assignment wants to have a good time, too, and at the end of the night might be in no better shape to drive. Too often, no driver is designated in the first place.

Introducing a whole new approach to preventing drunk driving: Safe Rides Unlimited

Our new 501 (c) (3) charity is an entirely different and more realistic model for drunk driving prevention. Safe Rides Unlimited rewards those who don’t drink and drive with a one-of-a-kind evening on the town for groups of five or more friends.

For a per-person, tax deductible donation of as little as $15, Safe Rides Unlimited provides round-trip travel in a luxury vehicle, plus free admission to member venues (bars, restaurants, and clubs), as well as to sporting events, and concerts. Upon arrival, guests enjoy VIP access, bypassing long lines. Everyone has a great time without worrying about all the dangers of driving under the influence.

Because public safety is at the heart of the Safe Rides Unlimited mission, we have taken a valuable added step on behalf of our ridership. The drivers of nearly all Safe Rides Unlimited vehicles have been certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s). This means that if a medical or health emergency occurs while you and your friends are traveling with us, your driver will be able to provide calm emergency assistance until an ambulance arrives on the scene.
